About Ruth's Sweete Justice Bakery

Where the beautiful cakes are born...

Ruth’s Sweete Justice opened with one employee in May of 2000, subleasing space from a gourmet deli.  Within 6 months, the bakery expanded from 400 sq. feet to 2000 sq. feet and 4 employees.  Two short years later, we doubled our space and nearly quadrupled our employee base. In September of 2009, we opted to change our direction slightly and limit the time consuming, highly detailed orders so that we could service more of the community. Additionally, we introduced Oklahoma City's only Signature cupcake line featuring ganache topped, delectably filled cupcakes.

Owner Ruth Rickey was recently selected to compete on WE TV's Wedding Cake Wars and has been chosen twice to assist Pat Jacoby of PattyCakes in Illinois in TLC's Ultimate Cake Off.  During its operation, Ruth’s has won the Taste of OKC for Best Dessert three times, been a finalist for the Oklahoma Gazette Best of OKC (desserts),and been a finalist for the Oklahoman’s Best of OKC.  Ruth’s was selected to do the cakes for the News 9 Dream Wedding in 2004.  Ruth’s was featured on The Food Network specials “Here Comes the Cake” and “Designer Wedding Cakes”.  Ruth’s sugar artists have been featured in nearly a dozen different local national and international publications.  No other bakery in Oklahoma has received the acclaim that Ruth’s has achieved, especially in such a short time.

Ruth’s does not advertise, relying instead on word of mouth recommendations.  We are the first choice for wedding vendors, schools, businesses and families across the OKC metro area.  Our cakes have been prepared for local and national celebrities including Toby Keith and Rod Stewart and we have been honored to design the wedding cakes for the daughters of Toby Keith, former Governor Frank Keating, former Governor David Walters, former Oklahoman Food Editor Sharon Dowell,  as well as the 2002 Miss Rodeo USA.
