She is looking for opportunities to teach and judge. Send her an email at sweetejustice@aol.com and let her know about your event. You never know...Ruth could pack up her mini van and head your way! Want to organize a class? Ruth prefers to have at least 5 students if it is a short drive; 10 or more for longer drives to offset travel costs. She can design a class to meet your needs and teaches a wide variety of subjects.

July 2010 - It's getting hotter outside, but it is still a great time to get married, so Ruth will be right here making some gorgeous cakes!

August 2010 -

August 12-15 - ICES Convention in San Diego, CA - Ruth will be acting as an Adjudicator as a new group of candidates test for Certification as Sugar Artists and Master Sugar Artists. Ruth will also be teaching a hands on class on Dusting 101: the art of dusting sugar flowers. This class sold out within 24 hours. www.ices.org

August 27 - Tour de Palate - www.TourdePalate.com Enjoy an evening of great food and wine, while watching a live cake challenge - all while raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Norman Davis and Zane Beg of Food Network and Ultimate Cake Off fame will each compete against Mike Elder - 3 time champion of Ultimate Cake Off and against 3 other talented sugar artists in the challenge! You can even bid on the edible art pieces and take one home to enjoy!

September 2010 -

September 19 - Moab Utah Century Ride - Ruth will be riding the Rolling 70 mile course along the Colorado River in Utah to raise money for the LLS. Donate at http://pages.teamintraining.org/ok/dublin10/walkRuthwalk

September 26-29 - IBIE/RBA Convention in Las Vegas, NV - Ruth will be demonstrating Figure Modeling in Rolled fondant on Tuesday, September 28th and will be teaching a four hour hands on class on Realistic Gumpaste Flowers on Wednesday, September 29th. www.IBIE2010.com

October 17 - Nike Women's Marathon, San Francisco, CA - Ruth will be walking in her fifth event with Nike that day. She walks in honor of Emory Hood, who celebrates his birthday about the time she is climbing the hills in San Francisco each year. October 25 - Dublin Marathon, Dublin, Ireland - Two years ago, Ruth was honored to be the Inspirational Pasta Party Speaker for this event and told her story for the first time to a room full of athletes who had all raised money for the LLS. This will be Ruth's second time to walk the full marathon in Dublin, just 8 days after walking a half marathon in San Francisco. Why would she put herself through such punishment? Because Ruth had too many cake activities early in the year and wasn't able to do any events in the winter or spring. Ruth feels personally called to raise as much money as possible to save as many lives as possible. She believes a cure is within our grasp and wants to help fund that cure. After all, Ruth wouldn't even be here if it weren't for the wonderful people who raise money through Team in Training. January 22-23, 2011 - The Art of the Cake show, Cleveland,Ohio http://www.theartofthecake.com/ - Ruth will be the emcee of the live cake challenge and will be teaching her popular Dusting 101 class.

February 5, 2011 - Garden State Cake Show, New Jersey. Ruth's role at the show has not been decided yet, but she has promised to try to attend and help them out!

February 25-27, 2011 - That Takes the Cake Show, Austin, TX http://thattakesthecake.org/. Ruth will be teaching and possibly judging at this event.

March 26-27, 2011 - National Capitol Area Cake Show, VA www.cakeshow.org. Ruth will be teaching and possibly judging at this event.

May 2011 - The Great American Cake Show, Westiminster, MD http://www.greatamericancakeshow.com/ Ruth will be teaching and judging at this event.

July 2011 - July 14-17, CAKE CAMP in Vegas!! www.CakeCamp.com Ruth will be teaching 8 to 9 classes during this exciting weekend.

August 2011 - August 4-7, ICES Convention in Charlotte, NC www.ices.org

September 2011 - September 23-25, CAKE. LOVE. 2011. in Vancouver www.cakeloveyvr.com Ruth will be teaching 8 to 9 classes in this first ever event of its kind in Canada! They are only inviting about 10 instructors to the inaugural event and Ruth is thrilled to be on board!

October 2011 - October 20-23, Sweet Retreat in Oregon. Ruth will be teaching 8 to 9 classes at this biannual event. Due to the proximity with Cake Camp and Cake.Love.2011, Ruth will work to introduce new classes at this event, but will keep the old favorites available, also!
